‘I have been a gallery owner since 1983, three and a half decades, a time I like to look back on. I have exhibited more than 100 artists, organized more than 220 exhibitions and participated in 50 trade fairs. I have invited countless museum directors, curators and art historians as speakers. These numbers sound crazy. But I always had time for my artists. Our conversations and debates would fill some books. I also have a wonderful memory of the visits to my collectors and the intensive exchange with them.
Currently I represent artists like Dokoupil, Rainer Fetting, David Lynch or Bernd Zimmer. Among the younger representatives in my gallery are the artists Carsten Fock, Duncan Swann, Hell Gette and an artist duo Mitríková & Demjanovič. My program also includes other renowned international artists such as Larry Clark, Bruno Gironcoli, Jan van Imschoot, Peter Schuyff and Tony Scherman.
I am very committed to introducing a younger audience to contemporary art. My contacts to the Ludwig-Maximilians University and the Academy of Fine Arts, as well as the publicly accessible lectures and artist talks in my gallery serve this purpose. OpenArt Munich aims in the same direction, as does Kunstwochenende München just a few years ago, in the founding of which I played a major role for the first four years in 2010 and its conceptual orientation.’
